For ten minutes, your character enters the Blue World.

The Blue Room is a limited, fully directed solo portrait experience created by mit Photography.

This is not a standard convention snapshot session.

Before the event, I will research your chosen character. During the session, I will guide your pose, expression, costume presentation, mood, composition, and overall visual direction.

Rather than reproducing a reference image or another photographer’s style, I will interpret your character through my own visual language and create a portrait that can only exist between your character and my photography.

You do not need to prepare a pose list.

Session Details

• Session duration: 10 minutes
• Solo portrait session only
• Location: mit Photography booth at AniManGaki 2026
• Character research before the event
• Full pose and expression direction by mit
• 1 fully retouched Signature Portrait
• A curated selection of color-graded JPG files
• Portrait Archive card with a QR code for downloading your images
• One assistant may accompany the participant if needed

The download availability date will be printed on the Portrait Archive card given to you after the session.
Files will remain available for 30 days from the stated download date.

What Makes This Session Different

In my personal projects, I direct the entire creative process from beginning to end, including casting, costume creation, location selection, posing, composition and visual storytelling.

The Blue Room brings this same directed approach into a short convention portrait session.

I will not simply document your costume. I will observe your character, identify the mood and visual qualities that I find most compelling, and direct the session through my own artistic interpretation.

This session is suitable for participants who:

• Are open to artistic direction
• Would like guidance with posing and expression
• Want to see their character interpreted through mit’s visual world
• Prefer an atmospheric portrait rather than a standard convention photograph

This session may not be the right fit if you would like:

• A specific pose list to be recreated exactly
• Another photographer’s style to be reproduced
• A large number of poses or costume variations
• A group or duo photoshoot

During the session, I may suggest adjustments to your wig, costume, or posture.
If you prefer verbal direction only, please let me know in advance or at the beginning of the session.

Before You Apply

Please review the information below carefully before submitting your application.

Payment requests and confirmation emails will be sent manually from:

Please check your spam or junk folder and add this email address to your contacts if necessary.

Cosplay Plan

Please provide accurate information about the character and costume you plan to wear.
I will research your character before the event, so please contact me as soon as possible if your cosplay plan changes.

Application Process

1. Select your preferred time slot and submit your application through Doorkeeper.
2. Wait for a payment request email from mit. The email will be sent manually from mitfolio@gmail.com and will include a Stripe payment link.
3. Complete the payment by the deadline stated in the email.
4. After your payment has been confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email from mit.

Your session is officially secured only after the confirmation email has been sent.
Submitting an application through Doorkeeper does not secure the session by itself.

Doorkeeper is used only for managing applications and time slots. Payment requests and confirmation emails are handled manually, so replies and payment confirmation may take some time.

Please use the same name and email address for your Doorkeeper application and Stripe payment whenever possible. Different information may delay the confirmation process.

Terms and Conditions

• Full payment must be completed through Stripe by the deadline stated in the payment request email.
• Applications that are not paid by the deadline will be automatically canceled.
• Refund requests must be submitted within 48 hours of payment.
• After 48 hours, all payments are non-refundable.
• Stripe processing fees will be deducted from the refunded amount.
• Please arrive at the mit Photography booth at least 5 minutes before your scheduled session. The session will end at the originally scheduled time, even if the participant arrives late.
• Arrivals more than 5 minutes late will be treated as cancellations. No refund will be issued.
• The session is for one cosplayer only.
• The reservation cannot be transferred or resold to another person.
• One assistant may accompany the participant if necessary. The assistant will not be photographed.
• Copyright of all images remains with mit Photography.
• Delivered retouched image will include a mit Photography watermark.
• Removing or modifying the watermark, applying additional filters or edits, or altering the delivered images is prohibited.
• Personal social media sharing is permitted when mit Photography is properly credited.
• Resale, redistribution, third-party use and commercial use are prohibited without prior written permission.
• Commercial licensing is available by separate quotation and must be agreed upon in advance.
• JPG files will be delivered through the QR code printed on the Portrait Archive card provided after the session.
• Files will be available from the date stated on the card and will be removed after 30 days.
• Participants are responsible for their own belongings. mit Photography is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen items.
• Behind-the-scenes photographs or videos may be recorded for mit Photography’s social media and promotional use. Please inform me in advance if you do not wish to appear in behind-the-scenes content.
